In the old part of Ouderkerk is of course the age-old Portuguese Jewish cemetery with its unique sculpted tombs. According to several experts, this is probably the place where once stood the castle of the Lords of Amstel. Furthermore, Ouderkerk is renowned for it's myriad of fine restaurants.
